Day Two Grateful Blogging February

Thank you for your lovely comments yesterday and for sharing the things that you are glad about.  It was lovely to read the good things that are happening for you all!  If you haven't read them and want a little lift, do go and have a look back at the happy moments that some of you shared.

So far today I have done grocery shopping and laundry, so not much to be grateful for there, although I am grateful that I have an automatic washing machine and don't have to do it by hand like the "olden days" and that I have money to buy food of course.

I am though very grateful for the fact that I found the glove that I thought I had lost.  I opened the back of my car and a glove fell out.  I picked it up and then looked for the other one and it was missing.  I thought, oh well, that is that, I will have to get a new pair.  When I came back to get some more things out of the back of my car, there was a glove on the ground.  Yes, you guessed it, the missing one that I hadn't spotted.  Obviously both of them fell out of the car and I only noticed one.  Better look a little harder next time.

Anyway, I am glad that I found my glove!  I am very attached to these gloves as they are the ones I wear for walking - and gosh with snow forecast next week I am going to need to those gloves.

This may all sound a little silly, but as I am sure that some of you know, focussing on the little things can be important and make all the difference so today I am focussing on that glove.

Do continue to share your happies if you wish, and thank you if you do!

2 days down, only 26 more to go to write something happy every day this month....

  3. Amy, it is so lovely to see you back and I applaud you for looking for things to be grateful for in February. I am grateful for a few minutes of peace with two puppies asleep at the same time. I wish you the very best day and weekend.

  4. I'm glad you found your glove Amy, today has been a good one for me, I met up with a friend for lunch and then we went to the Canasta group. I met a new member there and she lives very close to me and she is going to come to my crochet group. Have a great weekend. :) xx

  8. It's always the littlest things that matter the most. I'm happy you found your glove. What am I grateful for today? That I met my little brother for a lunchtime swim and we had a few good races in the pool. It's lovely we share this way of keeping fit and meet up regularly in the pool.

  10. I am also grateful for my automatic washing machine. I can hear it running as I type. I can't imagine doing it the old fashioned way. No wonder people didn't have as many clothes. Being grateful for the little things is wonderful too. I'm glad you found your glove.

  11. I also found a pair of gloves recently. I have looked for them since the cold weather began, and had finally given them up for lost. However, I recently opened a drawer and there they were! I'm very thankful.

  12. All day yesterday, I was thinking...what am I going to say, most thankful for...it actually makes one look for the best in things. Friday, February 2 here - I went to a girls basketball game and 2 of my 4H kids were playing - glad I could watch them and it was a win.

  13. I'm grateful that my 'kids' still get along well enough to play video games together - despite being in three different cities! They were all online playing Monster Hunter last night lol. Sometimes I wondered if they would ever get along together, but apparently they must like one another enough to play the game together!

  14. I am thankful that I figured out that I read the directions wrong on my medication and will now correct and take the right amount of pills. Maybe I will get better now!

  15. I am glad you found your missing glove before the cold weather. And I am grateful I found my missing 'extreme cold' glove recently, before we went to Canada for a cold White Christmas! The glove had been out of sight for several years, but turned out to be in another place, seldom looked at!

  16. I think focussing on the little things is important, too. Sometimes they are all we have, the big things can be just too overwhelming, and sometimes I think it's the equivalent of looking after the pennies so that the pounds look after themselves. x
