A little look around the garden...

Just thought you might like to see a few pics from the garden.  It has been raining a lot lately, but it was dry for a little bit over the weekend when I took these.  Everything is benefiting from the rain though which is good.

Hope that your little plot is growing well!

  1. Dear Amy
It's looking lovely; green and verdant. I would much rather have the rain than the heatwaves Europe is getting at the moment. I much prefer the cooler weather.
    Best wishes

  3. I really enjoyed seeing your garden. One benefit of all the rain is how everything turns such a pretty green. We vacationed in the desert in early July and I was surprised by how very much I missed our green grasses and trees. Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

  6. Lovely garden Amy, so nice and tidy. I'm not a lover of gardening, I'd much rather be cooking or baking. We've invited the church over on the next 3 Saturday afternoons. A sort of open house - drop in, with a cuppa and cake. I've said if it's warm, to bring a chair. It'll be nice to see people as we're 12 ish miles from church and feel a bit out of it. I'm dreading people thinking it's all weedy, but they'll have to take us as they find us. It's certainly challenged me to think about weeding more. All the best, Cathy x

  7. My little garden is happier for having some rain as well. I have not had to water this summer at all, except for the potted plants.

  9. Your back garden is lovely. Are those grapes I see growing?

Maybe NEXT year we will finally have a house and I can get a garden of my own going.

  13. Your garden looks great, Amy. I am still planting a few things because you know . . . I'm trying to really enjoy August. Of course there are still weeds to pull and things to water.
I bet you like sitting out in that grass. May the birds sing sweet songs to you!

  15. Lovely Amy & it looks a good size, flat and manageable, which makes it easier to look after & you can keep on top of it. I do like the way it's laid out with curvy beds & your little veg/herb bed. What is the big tree at the back? It looks a lovely shape & quite old. Thanks for the pics and take care.

  21. Amy your garden and yard are looking healthy. The rain water is so good for them. We've been getting a lot of rain in our area too. It is so good for the soil as we live in a dry area.
