Valentines Day

We all know Valentines Day.  Some of us think of it as something romantic, a day to tell our dearest loved on just how much they mean to us.  We can go over the top with bunches of roses, wine and chocolates and a dinner out for two.  Or you can send a simple card.  Or just tell them, I love you.  Some find it a little over commercialised and I understand that, but I still choose to enjoy the day without joining in the commercial aspects of it.

As well as telling your nearest and dearest loved one that you love them today - I do love you an awful lot you know dear Hubby! - you can also share with others around you that you love them, love what they do for you, who they are and what you do for them.

So I want to send you all some love today on Valentines Day!  Know that whether you have that romantic love with a special someone, whether there isn't a special person in your life right now, or if that person is no longer with you, there are people out there who love you and what you bring to their lives!  You are loved an awful lot you know!

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!  Thank you for all that you bring and all that you give and do and share!  Love to you all!

Amy

  3. sending you love too Amy. I can't even start to say how refreshing it is to read that someone else enjoys today for what it is ... just a bit of fun. Nothing serious. Not a true marker of being loved. Just fun. Sometimes it feels that blogland wants to stop all fun for everyone else. Thank you for daring to be different! xxx

  12. Love the crochet hearts! I enjoy seeing kids share little valentine cards and candies, but my hubby and I quit celebrating as adults at some point for ourselves. Hope you are doing well. I'm having a lot of blogging issues as you know, but think it might partly be my computer, so I am going to wait about starting a new blog till I have it looked at.

  15. Lovely crochet hearts! Happy Valentine's Day to you. We don't usually do a lot to 'celebrate'. It's a little too commercial and overrated for me - flower prices over here rise the week of Valentine's Day. We are treating ourselves to some new chairs and a new bed this weekend (if we can find ones we like!)so exchanging gifts of some sort lol.

  18. Such sweet little hearts, Amy! Love the sweet sentiments, too! My Mom was always my Valentine - I would always make her a home-made gift and bring it down to her. It was so nice to see her happy face. I miss that. Today my daughter is coming to visit and share a Valentine's meal with us. It's all about sharing love......Sending hugs xo Karen

  21. I've never particularly celebrated V day as romantic, but just a day to spread a little happiness or kindness & do wish it was really love that made the world go round. What a peaceful place it would be then. Take care.

  22. Your handmade hearts are lovely.
The grocery stores are going all out for Valentine's Day. You can not miss the fact that it is a big day. Flowers everywhere and then wine glasses, candy, stuffed animals, cookies, cakes at the end of the check out counter. I've never seen it so crowded and men buying and buying. Amazing.

  40. That is such a cute and attractive heart motif. I wonder if it is as easy and quick to make as it looks. I'm afraid I'm not much of a romantic at Valentine's Day but love heart motifs for using throughout the year. I hope you had a happy day.
