Right now in the garden

The garden is just bursting out all over at the moment and so many new things have come into flower or grown so much since last week.  I just had to share all of this with you!

Above are cosmos seedlings and a few sweet peas for good measure and below are sunflowers.  These are all the work of Hubby.  I am terrible at growing seeds.  It seems that he is great at it!

There are so many wonderful flowers, the borders are really burgeoning.  I think the weather has been favourable for plants, mild(ish) and wet and all of the mulching that Hubby has done over the last few years has really paid off I think with keeping the moisture in and also helping to improve the soil and keep the weeds down.

I cannot go outside and work though because I just get too distracted!  It is bad enough sitting in my office looking out at the sky without all of the these plants to tempt me.

I hope that your garden is growing well too!

Amy

    1. Hi Ritta, it is a Spirea, but I don't know the variety I am afraid as it was here when we bought the house. It is beautiful isn't it!

  10. This is all just beautiful, Amy! What a wonderful variety of plants and flowers! I see many that I can identify, and some I'm not familiar with, but what a lovely garden. I know how much work that entails, and I'm very impressed. :)

Thanks for sharing these pictures and have a great day!

  20. i have a purple and white theme going this year .. i try for red, white and blue. purple has to be the blue. i am not sure of the name but the red are favorites of hummingbirds but with all the rain they have come out with another bloom as of yet. hoping soon. i use to feed them but the raccoons found the water & i am not up for feeding the raccoons, nope sorry not gonna do that. i always take out my plants for the late spring and take them back in when it get or before it gets really cold for fall/ winter. love doing that, & they super enjoy it. clean them real good before the come back inside.
