Sunlit Sunday

As bloggers we take a lot of photographs and probably delete many too, even then we are left with a lot of pictures that we delight in sharing.

I am just like that, I take a lot, delete a lot and share a lot too.  For the most part I only share photos that I like and am happy with, occasionally there is one that I "need" for some reason to show that isn't so good.

Sometimes though I get to share a photo that isn't only one that I like and am happy with.  I get to share one that I absolutely love.

Last year I shared this picture taken in St Ives, Cornwall.  It was just another snap when I took the picture, but when I reviewed them and looked back I just fell in love with it.  I often think back to this photo.  The warm sun on our backs as we wandered around the town.  The relaxing time we had.  No where particular to be or to go.

Not only do I love this photo, I love the memories that it brings.

This is definitely a sunlit moment for me!  Literally, and metaphorically too.

Today I am joining Karen at My Little Home and Garden for Sunlit Sunday.

  1. Sometimes I think less is more. One great photo like this is worth more than a stream of mediocre photos. I can see why you love it.

  4. What a gorgeous photo. Sometimes everything just works perfectly doesn't it, and the happy memories of a lovely moment make it extra special. I was looking at some holiday photos last night as well and smiling. Where would we be without our cameras to capture it all? Have a lovely Sunday Amy. CJ xx

  7. It's a lovely photo that relays a sense of serenity in that moment. I take way too many pictures and don't delete them or organize them as I should which is why my phone won't currently back up so that I can switch to a new one. :/ Have a good rest of the day.

  26. Lovely Amy and I'm sure the seaside air is always a tonic for most of us. The smell, gentle breeze blowing off the water, sand between our toes and gentle lapping of waves is so soothing. Thanks for your memories and take care.

  27. Totally agree Amy! I have so many photos far too many to display on my blog. I really need to delete some but it is difficult to choose which ones. I remember going to St Ives on a school trip we of course had a great time. A beautiful photo indeed and merits being displayed!
