Sunlit Sunday

I am so excited about the return of Sunlit Sunday!  Yay for looking for sunny moments in life to share over the next few months.  What could be a better start to the year.  Thank you Karen for doing the link up once again this year.  You can find the others taking part at Karen's link up here.

This week I have found several sunny moments to share with you.

A pigeon sitting in the tree enjoying the sunlight.  I cannot say that I always enjoy the pigeons in the garden because of the mess that they make - not pleasant - but, I cannot begrudge them a few moments in the sunshine at this time of year.

Enjoying look at the garden in the sunshine instead of the rain.  It makes all the difference even when it is very cold, the sun makes it look better than the gloomy grey does.

Seeing blue sky, even with puffy white clouds, is always a treat too isn't it.

My final sunny moment for this week is my vase of daffodils.  Sadly not all flowering yet to show you, but on the way nevertheless.  I always buy bunches of daffodils when they are on sale and put them in this Poole Pottery vase which I keep specially for daffodils.  They go together perfectly for me and I love that have a special vase for this special time of year and these special flowers!

Thank you again Karen for Sunlit Sundays and for bringing sunshine into our lives!  I hope that you and everyone has lots of sunshine this week.

Amy

  6. Lovely Amy. What a gorgeous vase for your daffodils. I too have some special vases for different flowers at certain times of the year and haven't shown much lately as this garden isn't quite as floral as my others have been, but we are working on that. Take care.

  20. I love your sunny Poole pottery vase with or without the cheery daffodils. I I chanced upon a couple of pieces of Poole in a charity shop the other day ideal for my new/old cottage kitchen. The sun makes all the difference. We were going to go witch hazel sniffing at Wisley today but experience tells me they need warmth and sun to release their scent and it is a grey cold day here today - oh well back to my curtain sewing!

Your snowy photos look a little more like my neck of the woods. Nice that it didn't stay too cold though. I'd take some warmer sunshine right now please and thank you very much! It's chill to the bone cold these days. Ugh!!

Dreaming on those sunshiny daffodils, though. That photo made my day. ;)
