In need of help...

Thank you to everyone who has replied already.  I am now sorted for testers thanks to your wonderful response!  However there might be some more coming up so I will keep your names to hand and might be in touch.  If I haven't replied individually, I have replied below in the comments to you all.

Thank you again!!  You are a great group of people.

********************

I do need your help with something!  I am looking for two volunteer crochet pattern testers.

I would like one experienced crocheter and one who is perhaps more of a beginner, but familiar with crochet and the terms used.  This isn't a job!  I am just asking for some help to test patterns.

So that I can provide you with the yarn to use I would prefer that you are in the UK, but you can be overseas if you are happy to provide your own yarn.

I will of course e-mail the pattern to you to test and would ask that you are willing to give me feedback on the pattern.  I do also need to you to be able to work and reply quite quickly.  The items will only be small things.

If you would be willing to help, please can you e-mail me and we can have a chat.  My e-mail address is (no spaces) love made my home at gmail dot com

I hope that some of you can assist!

Thank you!!

Amy

  5. Hi Amy I'm sure that you will get loads of volunteers, I've been called upon to make some urgent charity stuff over the next week but would be happy to help after that if you need me. :) xx

    1. Perhaps some quilting. Oh, no, that would be you needing testers, not me and I would never volunteer for that!! xx

  9. I would have qualified for the beginner category. But we are up to our eyeballs in building mess at home and my output has really slowed down. I'm just happy to keep the dust off everything at the moment.

  10. OK Amy, I thought you'd be inundated, but no lookers yet, so count me in and I'll provide my own wool. As I've only just started crocheting again and have done a couple of rugs, I could be more of a intermediate/beginner and I'm onto the 3rd round on the border (that's been a learning curve) of my CAL with Jo, so if you need me, let me know. I'm always willing to learn and test. I did some testing for Sue at Quilt Times in 2014, so am up for a challenge. Keeps me on my toes. Take care.

  13. Oh if only I could crochet Amy!
I'm still trying to teach myself - I can manage the first round quite well but after that it all turns to custard!
You wouldn't want to see how I can mess up a crochet pattern!

  14. I am so sad I am behind reading blogs because I would have loved to help you out and I would provide my own yarn.

    Good luck with your testers.

  15. I'm glad there are a number of people learning to crochet like me. A neighbour helped me initially but we seemed to be laughing all the time, mostly at my tension that was so tight. I've pinned a couple of good youtube tutorials for beginners and hope I can catch on.
Good luck with your project and I hope you find some volunteers Amy.

  17. Hi Amy,

I enjoy knitting but many years back I did crochet myself a poncho but can't really read patterns.
Wish I could help and good luck with your projects. Thanks for your kind visit and the note you left.
    Enjoy the weekend
    Hugs

  18. I'm a bit late in the day reading this. I'm glad you've got your volunteers. If you ever need any help in the future I would be glad to assist. I'm an experienced crocheter and can build up to quite a speed once I get going!
