Retrospectives - Warwick Castle

When I started blogging, I shared a series of posts which I called Retrospectives, they were looks back at photos that I had taken between getting a digital camera and starting my blog.

You can find the series of posts here.

I still have a few to do!  In fact, quite a few.  One of my aims - not resolutions! - for next year is to get all of my photos sorted out and organised, and as part of that, I will be sharing a few more Retrospectives posts.  So today I have the first of this new batch to share.

Some years ago we visited Warwick and Warwick Castle.  You can find out more about the Castle here.  From what I remember, and from looking back at the pictures, it was a great day out.  A lesson learned though, sort your pictures when they are fresh in your mind as I have sadly forgotten anything that would help add any words to this post!  I hope that you will enjoy the photos though.  If you want to find out more, I recommend a visit!

I hope that you enjoyed the look around.

Amy

  1. I have seen the castle advertised so many times but never thought to visit. I will have to add this to my list for next year, especially with those wonderful Tudor beamed buildings to marvel at! Take care xx

  2. Again, another virtual visit which I have enjoyed, Amy! We visited Warwick Castle around 1981/82, when our children were young. What a super place it is, and I loved seeing the various rooms which, then, had tableaux vivants through various eras. A great place for a visit, and somehow it manages to combine history with the commercialism it obviously needs for the upkeep of such an historic building.

  5. It looks like an interesting day out. Mick and Eleanor were in Warwick looking at the uni there earlier this year, there was no time for castle visiting though.

  8. So fascinating and such interesting history!! I love the figures - as they add such realism to everything. Easier to imagine how a picture of life then really looked.

Love it - thanks for sharing dear Amy! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you many wonderful blessings for 2016!! ;)
