All of my autumn decorating is finished now and we can sit back and enjoy it! You can see my autumn front door arrangement here and my autumn mantel here.
There are just little touches here and there around the house to remind us of the change in seasons. Plus there is an opportunity to move things around which you know that I love to do. As always these are things the come out year after year. I haven't bought anything new this year other than the wreath on the door which I already showed to you.
I love these glass apothecary jars as I can fill them with all kinds of things depending on the seasons. I recently emptied out some crochet strawberries from one. They are now full of pumpkins - of course!
One of the doors in the hallway has this wreath hanging on it. I made this last year and had it hanging over the mantel, but it obscured the picture that hangs there too much so this time it went elsewhere. It was made from a kit of leaves, and I kept it safe all year to use again. I hope that I can keep it for many years because I love it.
Some simple things here and there, metal pinecone candle holders, more amber glass and other touches. Including of course a brass pineapple! You know I love pineapples and they are very on trend right now.
Although I didn't buy anything new, I have made a couple of things. Crochet pumpkins! The little ones are a bit round, but pumpkins come in all shapes and sizes don't they. I am very pleased with the way they turned out considering that I just figured out how to do them myself and made things up as I went along.
I also poked some more pumpkins under this dome. It is pumpkin a go go at our house right now.
Another pineapple and some little china pumpkin dishes - I should have moved the domes so you could see them better.
This bunting was made for my mantel last year. I might use it on the mantel in November, I haven't decided yet.
I will add some Halloween things in a week or so, but not just yet. Only a few things here and there.
The kitchen windowsill got the autumn treatment too, but in a more culinary way! The addition of orangey brown ceramic pieces and some china pumpkin baking dishes.
Just a little touch to remind us of the change of season. I also changed the fruit bowl to a piece that matches the jug you can see above.
When I put out the Halloween pieces I will share them with you, but in the meantime this is how the house is dressed for autumn!
