Easter decorations

Here are my Easter decorations!

I use my artificial forsythia twigs and hang every hanging egg that I own from them.  One day I will make some birds or chicks or bunnies to add to the eggs, but right now I like it like this!

The little nest fits beautifully on this single cupcake cake stand under one of my glass domes.  Yes, that is another one of those fluffy chicks!

All of my apothecary jars are filled with plastic eggs and grouped together along with some other things.  It seems that eggs are the main deal this year!

Apart from Mrs Chicken - and her babies - under another dome.  And the bunny twins!!

These little chicks have gotten everywhere this year it seems, even nesting in these little buckets.  They are tricky fellows aren't they.

Not so much this year and not so many photos!  No idea why other than as I said yesterday Easter seems to have suddenly caught up with me this year.  No matter, there will be other Easters to be had and it isn't all about decorating!  If you would like to see some of my previous Easter posts click the label Easter at the bottom of the post.

Sorry if that sounds gloomy, it isn't meant to be.  I think that I am a little weary so I am off now to enjoy the Easter break.  Hubby asked if I would be blogging over Easter and I said no, and then I said well, until Monday, I will be having withdrawal symptoms by then!!

There will not be a Five On Friday post tomorrow.  We will resume in a weeks time on 10 April.

Otherwise I will be back after Easter - or on Monday!!

I hope that you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter with the ones you love and doing things that you love.  Enjoy all that spring has to offer - or autumn!

Thank you for the blessing of knowing you all through blogland.  You are wonderful and have bought so much to my life.

Amy

  4. Hi Amy - the hanging egg "tree" is so pretty. And I love how the chicks have taken over. :)
I hope Easter gives you time to re-charge your batteries. I'm hoping the sun makes an appearance - but it's not looking too likely at the moment. Oh well - guilt free crafting I guess! xx

Your decorations are lovely! You have some really beautiful Easter eggs, and those yellow baby chicks... I have always loved them. :)
We too are decorating less this year, and I think that what is important in Easter comes also without much decorating. Enjoy your Easter break!

  37. And I have finally got around to visiting you Amy :) It's been a busy week with every minute of my days occupied with a certain little someone!! I've only got to my computer late this evening and have been catching up where I can. I've read back a few posts here (to the sugaring). We used to boil down maple syrup in our woods. I usually go to a sugar bush in the spring, but didn't get to one this year for some reason. I love seeing your decorated mantel each month. I still have to get out a few Easter decorations to put on my buffet. I only have some decorated eggs and springtime china figurines, but I like to keep it simple ;) One year I bought some fake forsythia for my dad's room. He took a couple of the branches and "planted" them in the garden outside his window. He was always amazed at how well they were doing ... even in the cold of winter! I was glad that no one pulled the fake branches out of the ground while he still lived in that home. They made me smile when I walked past them up to the front door. silly stuff eh? Well have a wonderful Easter with your family Amy, and hope you have a nice relaxing break. I'm looking forward to some quiet time this weekend ... no family dinners except in our own home with my own little family this year. Take care, Wendy xox

  49. Gorgeous decorations. I love the single cup cake stands too. The chicks are so cute - we have a small one that we've had for many years that we hang from the rear view mirror in the car - he's now a little deformed and has, sadly, lost one of his eyes, but the girls are very attached to him. His name is 'Ford Jarvis' ......... don't ask! Enjoy the Easter weekend. x

  59. It's all looking very colourful and seasonal! We don't do anything for Easter - we don't decorate, we don't buy eggs... nothing at all! Except enjoy the long weekend of course - that's my favourite thing about easter!
