And finally...

Finally, here is the last of my finished items posts!  Again - yet again! - I had no homes in mind for these when I made them, but I think they look pretty cute on the handles around and about the house.

Also, when I was thinking of how to link my Christmas Tree Bunting Garland thingy together I thought about holly leaves.  I found this great pattern and set about making some.  They were too large for my garland, but after making three and then adding some small circles for berries they made a great brooch.  I have been wearing it around and about and it has made me feel very festive.

Another finish is these Christmas trees.  The fabric printed into tree shapes came with a magazine - sorry, can't find it or remember which one! - and were meant to be double sided with the same print.  However, I wanted a small forest to go under my dome, so I backed them with some green stripy fabric that coordinated with the Christmassy prints and then I had six instead of three trees!  There were a couple of spools included in the kit, but I needed more and I used some vintage cotton reels too.  I think they make a nice grouping!

I think that is everything that I have made and/or finished now for this year, but there is always the possibility...

Next week I will concentrate my posts on the decorations and tree and my cake decorating - that could be an adventure!

In the meantime I think that I have done pretty well on completing things in line with hubby's decree.  Just don't tell him about the other 1000 things I have waiting to be done, shhhh!!!

  1. All your makes are just lovely and a couple way too cute. You're so much more organised than I am, but I'm sure we will still have a great Xmas. Love your posts. Hope you are having a great weekend and take care.

  2. Absolutely love those little Christmas trees planted in their sewing spools. Great stuff, Amy. There's something about vintage cotton reels that I love. I have a drawerful of them and never use them but just like looking at them! Good weekend to you pal. xxx ps think you should issue a counter-decree - make sure it's a good one!

  5. Wow, you have been incredibly busy Amy, turning out all these Christmas projects. I love the little group of trees - if I had time I would copy them! However, I am fiddling with a lacy Christmas stocking for moi, which will just about finish me for Christmas this year. Your little felt reindeers are adorable, and the holly brooch you whipped up is so good you should be selling the pattern. Seriously! Happy Christmas to you and your family. xx

  9. Hi Amy! Oh, I love this post and seeing all of your pretty little handmade things. The felt cuties are after my own heart. I had bought my little grand daughter a little prelit white table tree and proceeded to make her felt decorations for it for the seasons. I finished up all the seasons with Christmas decorations last Christmas. Yours are adorable. Love those little trees too and that was smart to keep the backside to make more! You are most talented! Well, Merry Christmas again - it's almost here!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  13. Goodness you've been busy. I was at Knit and Natter with a friend this morning, and I said I would have to go through my yarn stash and see what is sitting there waiting to be finished. There could be a few surprises - I think it's just 2 blankets, and plenty of yarn with a project in mind, but who knows what's hiding there! x

  27. Lots of cute things! I especially like your felt critters that you made and hung on knobs. Great idea you had to double the amount of little trees by using something else for backing. I'm almost done with Christmas crafting. All that's left is to finish up the Christmas cards. Better late than never! ; )
