One of the first bloggers that I ever made contact with was the wonderful Leanne from Paper Moon. Paper Moon is actually her second blog. Her first was about her year of crafting, and was called My Year of Crafting Dangerously. Both blogs are well worth a visit. Leanne and I have a similar sense of humour and exchange e-mails and comments and it is lovely to get to know her more as time passes.
Recently Leanne had a giveaway and I won! It was a set of magnets that had been given to Leanne by paper artist Ellen Giggenbach. While looking for some papercrafting items for her children, Leanne had come across Ellen's work and when she discovered that Ellen lived quite close to her, she got in touch. Ellen was kind enough to provide Leanne with some magnets to pass on to her readers, which I turn I was lucky enough to receive from Leanne.
They arrived in double quick time from New Zealand and both Leanne and I were amazed at the speed of the postal service. It did amuse me that Leanne included a beautiful Christmas card - the first for me this year - as last year when I sent her a card she said that it may take her some time to get a card to me! Hee hee!! It was lovely to receive this card.
You can find Leanne's posts about Ellen's work here and here. Leanne's blogs can be found here and here.
Now, I should say that Ellen didn't give the magnets to Leanne to advertise and Leanne didn't give them to me to advertise, but they are both so lovely that I wanted to tell you about them!
This is why I love bloggers. Not because they give things away, but because they are so kind and sharing with things, words and deeds. What could be nicer than that!
Thank you so much Leanne.
