Racing Hook

This is a crochet hook.  It is a sort of purple pink and is aluminium so it is very light.  Of course it is in my favourite 4mm size.  I love it.

Of course it is, for the most part just a crochet hook.

Or so you would think.

Hubby thinks that it is a racing hook.  He thinks that because it is lightweight it will go faster!!

  7. LOL . . . . . Laughed at your post and also at Ingrid's comment !!
Probably a bit of truth in both . . . but I would have chose British Racing Green for a racing crochet hook.

It might as well be in ancient Greek - all matters relating to crochet although I do appreciate the finished articles you clever ladies create. As for me I find them extremely useful for threading elastic bands down cotton bobbins when making a climbing tank for the kids . . .and other things like that . . . . lol

  8. Gorgeous colour, but not sure I could make it go any faster even if it was lighter. Take care.

  10. I need super sonic needles if I am ever going to get even a fraction of what I want to knit done! I do have some addi turbo needles and they are fast!

  11. A racing hook, now there's a useful thing, sometimes you just can't finish something quick enough. Lovely colour, but don't you need go-faster stripes?

  14. I have a slightly larger hook that is my favorite, but I remember my grandmother tatting lace with a very tiny hook. Very pretty purple!

  18. LOL that is funny. I love 4mm's too, I don't know why, but 4mm's closely followed by 5mm are my favorite crochet sizes :)

  19. I have one exactly the same, except the size is 5.00mm. I've switched over to Clover - they're much kinder to my ageing fingers! x

  29. I had a hook the same as that but I have lost it...I fear it's down the side of the sofa never to be seen again. A racing hook would be quite a handy thing now and again!
