Christmas Miracles

Do you know all those cheesy (but let's face it great fun to watch) Christmas films that are on this time of year on afternoon TV that go on about miracles happening at Christmas?  If not, go watch one, there are loads on right now!

Well, I am here to tell you that miracles do happen at Christmas.  So believe and they will happen.

My Aunt in Australia has had a stroke.  I asked another friend in America to pray for her.  Right when my message came through to my friend she was visiting her most favourite church in the world, having gone home to see her parents for Christmas, which was my friends own Christmas miracle.

My friend prayed.

My Aunt has had some miracle experimental treatment and is doing pretty darn good now considering.  Not perfect, but alive and speaking and complaining about not wanting to have to use a walking frame (to which she was told to get on with her physiotherapy then!).

So, Christmas miracles do happen.  My Aunt is doing so much better than we had dared to hope for, my friend is home her family and was able to offer up a miracle prayer for me for my Aunt.

What more could anyone dare to ask for at Christmas than that.  I have had all my Christmas presents for the next 10 years at least.

I hope that you can have a miracle at Christmas if you need one!

All my love to you, and thanks and best wishes.  Amy xx

    2. Amy what a lovely post which brought tears to my eyes - often when life is hard (and it is for everyone at some stage) you can lose heart, I know that I do. However, reading your lovely story made me stand back and really think about the positives and the power of prayer. Thank you Amy, so glad that I found your lovely blog. Big Christmas hugs to you and your family.

Haven't managed to catch any Christmas movies yet, but I've got a pile of them stacked besides the TV ready to watch. My favourite is Polar Express. Closely followed by Love Actually.

  13. What a wonderful story - not that your aunt had a stroke of course but the power of prayers and love. Archie had a similar thing when he was little and had many, many people praying and sending their best wishes for him and he had a miraculous recovery too. By the way, your Christmas decorations are looking beautiful. I particularly love your little village. Love Kate (from greedy for colour) xx.
