Silent saturday - textures and colours

A few years ago I became obsessed with taking photographs of "textures".  Basically random close ups of things.  Hubby would stand and watch with that sort of pitying look on his face and say nothing.

I didn't do anything with my "textures" but some of them were quite interesting - I thought!  So, here are a few textures for you.

Sorry, not quite silent, but these needed a bit of explanation, although you are probably still thinking - what the heck!

  1. Very nice textures ... I like the quilts, wicker & whatever the flower power fabric is & the last glass chandelier. Poor hubby ... your comment describing his 'pitying' look made me laugh! How well I know that look from my own husband, but I think his are more 'omg here she goes again' look. He hates to stop & smell the roses. But we'll keep doing what we're doing despite them, right! 3. I love this, Amy! You never know when a texture will inspire you, or come back to you in another project. The combinations of color and texture make me think of SO many ways to use them.

  4. I love textures! I can so relate!!! In college I took a mixed media class and so enjoyed using little bits with different textures to make my collages and various pieces! So many lovely shots there!!! Great inspiration too!!!! Have a wonderful Sunday!!!
